Happy Thursday everyone! I have a really special wedding to share with you. I showed you a sneak peek a long time ago of Christie & Chris' amazing letterpress & foil stamp custom invite suite and promised that I would share the entire wedding with you when I could! Well, the wait is over!

The details of this wedding are amazing but that's what you get when the bride owns a fabulous wedding and event planning business, Christie Rose Events. Kick back and enjoy some wedding eye candy...this wedding will not disappoint!

Guys I have the MOST amazing wedding sneak peek to share with you...to die for!

Christie, owner of Christie Rose Events and her fiance Christopher, came to me after seeing my design work on Bella Figura. Christie knew instantly what she was looking for, which made designing something for her really amazing. I can't show you the whole wedding just yet but trust me when I tell you, its jaw dropping gorgeous.

Take a little look at the final result, a custom designed letterpressed and foil stamped, lace inspired invite suite. The whole wedding is just so swoon worthy and I am chomping at the bit to show you!

And I need to share this other photo just because its too precious not to share with you...

Custom Monogram for Genna & Fred

Genna & Fred came to us looking for a motif to use on the paper goods for their wedding day. With a pretty palette of colors already selected, Genna & Fred knew that they wanted something vintage feeling and feminine. We gave them a few options to choose from but in the end this is the design they chose, which will be used on many paper goods that Genna created and printed on her own.

What I adore about this design is that it feels very classic and timeless. This design is something that they can easily use moving forward in married life, don't you agree?

Marsala is sort of growing on me. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed that this was the pick for color of the year for 2015. I was having a hard time visualizing it for a wedding. But I think when its paired with something unexpected, like a French Blue & pale Glacier Gray, I'm more than enamored with it!

Some time ago, I shared some pretty save the dates we created for Megan & Connor's September wedding. I am so giddy that I finally have some images to share with you from their special day. Mike & Julie Smith of J Smith Innovations in Kansas City did such an amazing job at capturing all of the love and fun that made their day so very special.

From the heartfelt love letters that Megan & Connor wrote to each other and were read as part of the ceremony, to the crazy flash mob that included a confetti canon, to the amazing grand finale of surprise fireworks for the bride & groom, every moment was truly special. So much love in one place....swoon!

Bella Figura 2015 Design launch

Some exciting news to share with you this lovely first Friday of 2015!

Our 2015 designs for Bella Figura, have launched and we just wanted to share some of the images with you.

Darjeeling
We were tasked with creating designs that had a heavy East Indian influence, so we chose to use an ornate paisley leaf motif and a decorated elephant for additional suite pieces, letterpressed in a lovely aubergine and metallic gold palette.

This suite comes with a ton of gorgeous coordinating pieces:

Mumbai Scrolls

Gold foil is all the rage right now so we couldn't help but create something that felt highly ornate and could be done in foil stamping. We paired the gold with a deep red cardinal letterpress ink which lends itself to traditional East Indian weddings quite well.

We love a wedding that takes environmental issues to heart! There are so many unique ways to keep your impact on the environment down for your big day but here are some of our favorites!

5. Eco-Friendly Dinnerware
From cups to spoons and plates to forks, there are many options out there that are lovely. These palm leaf plates and cutlery happen to be our favorites. What a lovely rustic touch to your food service.

4. Non-Paper Guestbook
Paper is a largely used resource when it comes to weddings. From save the dates and invites to programs and guest books, paper abounds in a wedding. We love this idea of saving some trees by using rocks as a guest book. After your wedding, you can reuse the rocks in vases and planters at home or keep them in a special place to re-read whenever you feel like it!

3. Non-Floral Bouquet
Reduce the environmental impact of having expensive flowers shipped in for your big day by re-using vintage brooches in a luxurious looking bouquet instead. Handmade paper flowers would be a lovely addition to the event space, too. Still have your heart set on flowers? Try using flowers that are in season to avoid the high costs associated with having flowers flown in.

2. Potted Herb/Plant Favors
Lovely potted herbs or even succulents make wonderful favors to give your guests. Not only are plants good for the environment, they can be daily reminders of your special day to your guests when they plant them in or around their homes. Hit up your local thrift shops for glass mason jars or small mismatched pottery pieces for the plants.

1. Eco-Friendly Wedding Gowns
While you could certainly go the vintage route with your wedding gown {reduce, reuse, recycle anyone?}, why not consider a designer who specializes in eco-friendly wedding fashions? While there aren't a ton of super fashionable eco-friendly designers out there, we just adore environmentally conscious designer Leila Hafzi. Stylish and good for the environment!
