Tara & Jason's Destination Save the Dates

Tara is a long time friend of mine, so when she became engaged, I think I almost cried in happiness for her!  I was so thrilled and honored that she came to me to design her paper goods.  We got started right away.

Because planning a destination wedding takes considerable more time for guests to plan for, she wanted to send save the dates out as soon as a date and location were nailed down.  Things like wedding colors weren't taken into consideration just yet but they both knew that they wanted something with an island feel and they wanted to include one of their engagement photos.  Easy peasy!

We printed these postcards on an ultra thick cardstock and paired it with white envelopes, to keep things very simple and clean.  I love the polaroid frame...

{We just recently completed their invitations which have a totally different vibe...we can't wait to share them with you!}

If you are planning an island getaway wedding, remember to give your guests plenty of time to book the trip!  Send your save the dates out with as much information as you can {in this case, they included a wedding website} so that everyone can plan accordingly.  If you are using a travel agent, this is a great place to provide contact info for him/her.  Most destination weddings booked through an agent will have some type of booking deadline, so make sure that point that out to everyone!

Have a great Thursday and check back tomorrow for a new Friday Finds!
