Inspiration Board Wednesday: Pale Aqua, Orchid & Plum

Last week, I created a board based solely on Pantone's Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid.  This week, I'm going to use that as a spring board again but I'm dulled the color down dramatically.  This orchid is definitely paler than the actual color and is used sparingly.  The pale aqua and purple hues really add something special to this palette and makes it feel more romantic and ethereal.  Lots and lots of texture going on here and definitely a vintage touch...

I'm still not sold on the cake in this board.  What do you think?  Have you seen a cake that would better suit this board?
