Next weekend, my youngest sister is getting married. I shared Meg & Joel's save the dates a few months back and now that the invites are not a secret anymore, I thought I would share them with you.
Meg & Joel wanted something that was clean and modern. They didn't want ultra feminine details to grace their invites but they knew they wanted to play with pattern. Using a charcoal gray and a marigold yellow, I used a few different patterns in their pieces, to add some interest. I added a really minimalist monogram that would be easy enough to add to pieces as we went along.
Since gray is the predominant color for the wedding, I really wanted to make sure that we lightened things up by using the yellow in places on the invite. Because of this, the invites have both a masculine and feminine quality.
Meg loves baker's twine, so we knew that tying the elements of the suite together with a yellow/white baker's twin was a MUST!
Check back next week to see some of the other elements that we created for the big day! I'm also working on sharing some of their super pretty engagement photos, so stay tuned!
