Follow the Bride: 2011: Pedal to the Metal

Happy New Year! 2011 seemed so far away when Keith and I mailed in our wedding deposit, but it’s finally here and our spring wedding date is zooming towards us.

When I first started wedding planning, I told Keith I wanted this experience to help me become more decisive. I hem and haw A LOT and I wanted to gain confidence in my choices and stop second guessing. I’d say I’ve done ok so far. But changed my mind about the colors a few times, re-considered the menu selection and have been worrying sick about not getting professional lighting. But it’s a new year and my wedding resolution is to be a more confident decision maker. Four days in, I think I'm off to a good start. Here are a few of the choices I’ve made and I love.

My Wedding Shoes
These bad boys weren’t getting any cheaper.

The Flower Girl Dresses

I could spend forever searching for the perfect dress for two perfect little girls–each one is
cuter than the next. I love how this style has flutter sleeves and a full skirt.

Invitation Design
You’ll have to wait a little longer to see these. But I promise it’ll be worth it. When it comes to invitation wording my advice is to get a head start. There are so many different options, and even spellings!! It took us a while (and a few glasses of wine) just to weed through it all.

It doesn’t sound like a lot, but I’m getting there. How were your holidays? Any one celebrate at a wedding or get married? And what about New Year’s wedding resolutions? What are you doing differently this year?

The shoes are hot! Fab choice. and love love love love love the flower girl dresses. PERFECT choice.

And I like your resolution to be more decisive. I need to do that. Maybe I'll make a resolution (I tend to avoid them). More decisive and more disciplined... you inspired me!
