Follow the Bride: A Christmas Wish and Wedding Advice

Christmas has arrived. There’s still a few more days till Santa and his sleigh pull into town, but the holiday spirit and festivities are in full swing. For me, the merriment has been amped up a notch since I’ve got so much more to be thankful for this year. And I’m really excited that my family will all be under the same roof for the first time since July!

Since this is the season of giving, I thought I’d leave you with a little wedding advice I received over the weekend. My good friend Melissa was married in August and when the topic of weddings came up (it always does these days!) she offered this: “Once you get there just enjoy how beautiful everything is. No one is going to know what the centerpieces were supposed to look like, or what kind of limo was supposed to pick you up. And don’t worry about who’s waiting too long in line for a drink, or who’s not up on the dance floor. That’s not your job anymore.”

I really like Melissa’s attitude. She spent a lot of time ensuring her guests would have a good time at her reception (we did) and once it started, she stopped worrying about it and just had a ball. Thanks Melissa!

Beautiful and worry free!

Merry Christmas to you and your families and best wishes for the new year. Thanks for reading along and helping to make this such an exciting year for me. Any brides preparing for a Christmas or New Year’s Eve wedding? Tell me all about it.
