Well not just any help, but, YOUR help my lovely readers!
Ok the scenario is that I am going to a wedding late in August. I need a dress. But the many requirements of said dress are overwhelming me at this point, to the point where I wake up in a cold sweat thinking about it. This is the first wedding I have EVER attended as a guest and not as part of the bridal party! Can you even believe that????
The dress needs to be suitable for a late August Kansas City wedding (can we say humid?!?!?)
The dress needs to be suitable to wear to in a Catholic Church
The dress needs to be suitable for an early evening reception but a late afternoon wedding ceremony
The dress needs to be comfy enough for me to chase my two year old around in
The dress can't be black or red (those are the wedding colors)
I'm short...I'm only 5'1" so long dresses don't work that great on me....
HELP! Seriously, even though this wedding is months away, I'm panicking. I don't want to wait until the last minute to find something just in case it needs alterations.

You know who makes great "daytime, into evening, chase your kids around" dresses?
A*B*S...
I have a bunch of them, and they might be a brand just from Macy's... I will research it..., I have 3 and have been wearing them in a crunch for YEARS!!! They hold up really well and their style is not what you would call "trendy" that only last a season.
I'll get back to you, or why don't you try google-ing it and see what you come up with!
Let me know what you find! (I've got a 6 year old and a 2 1/2 year old.... I hear ya, sista!)
OK, just checked my closet, and i do have some ABS dresses, but the ones (2) I was thinking of were from CDC (Caren Desiree Company)
And... maybe I should go shopping for myself more often, because they only seem to be offered on Ebay! In Australia????
Well, I have two, as I said that I love and will not wear out. Pretty floral patterns (one a light blue and one a black- with large pink roses.) Not "old-lady-ish"...
Anyway, It's worth a try looking into it..., maybe you will find something for like $10!!!!
Good luck!
So i just did a quick search on BlueFly to come up with some options for you. Its a variety of styles and prices and they are just ideas. As for it being a Catholic church - 1st of all - you wont get kicked out for anything, but its nice to keep your shoulders a little covered. Its august, so summer and fall colors work just fine.

So far a lot of cute stuff that I have found is from Nordstroms. Wanna go shopping with me? They have their big sale!
