Music Must Have's

So yesterday we did a little interview with the insanely talented Michael Antonia and I promised that he would do a top 10 list for us on what songs you MUST play at your reception to get your guests off their behinds or away from the candy buffet and onto the dancefloor!

The following is a top 10 list of best records to insite a riot at a wedding.

Tears of a Clown - Smokey Robinson
Respect - Aretha Franklin
ABC - Jackson 5 (this is wedding 101!)
Kiss - Prince
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours - Stevie Wonder (hard to go wrong with Stevie but stay away from You Are the Sunshine of My Life...)
Push It - Salt N Peppa (This song slays any dancefloor if you play it at the right time!)
Upside Down - Diana Ross
Don't Stop til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson
Let Me Clear My Throat - DJ Kool (Mayhem)
Poison - Bell Biv Devoe (I know, I know, this song is sooooooo played out but dang! It makes people go bananas!)
**Bonus track** You Can't Hurry Love - The Supremes

And a little tip from Michael...
Anyone can have all of these songs, but play any of them at the wrong time, or play the wrong record after (or before) any of them and you are in for a world of hurt. The mark of a great DJ is timing, and the ability to read a crowd.

Thank you so much for this list Michael...I hope people are now revamping their must haves because of it! Make sure you check out the awesomeness (is that even a word?) that is the The Flashdance.

{It has taken every ounce of my being to NOT throw in some cheesy song lyrics throughout this post...I want to so baaaaaaad!}
