Yummy cookie goodness...and a Giveaway!!!

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. ENTRIES WERE TO BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY AT MIDNIGHT. ANY ENTRIES FROM SATURDAY OR SUNDAY ARE NOT VALID.

I've been patiently waiting to do a post about our new product that we are offering! I have been waiting everyday for some good natural light so that I could take some photos to post, alas, we have had gloomy skies everyday it seems for the past week. Except for today! Then I had the opportunity to take the photos and my USB went missing. But here it is finally!!

We have teamed up with the fabulous folks at Gumdrop Cookie Shop to give you one more monogrammable favor! That's right, monogrammed cookies! These delicious 3" sugar cookies are printed in color with the monogram of your choice. Aren't they yummy looking (and so colorful)! This is such a fun way to carry your monogram throughout your wedding day!

We interviewed Thea, the owner of Gumdrop Cookie Shop, and asked her to share some information about her company with us!

How long have you been in business?
Since May 2007

How did you get started?
The first thing I did was write a business plan so I could understand how I would need to differentiate myself from other cookie companies. This REALLY helped because the idea for the business shifted quite a bit from the original idea. From there, I came up with a name, registered the business, started a Web site, secured insurance…the list goes on and on!

What is the best part of your job?
Without question, being my own boss! It’s also really rewarding to see our company featured in newspaper or magazine articles. Finally, I really like working with the graphic designers who create our designs for us. It’s really fun to see what type of designs they come up with and how they print on a cookie.

If you could trade places with anyone, who would it be?
Wow, great question. At this very moment, Isabel Toledo (the designer of Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Day dress). That must have been such an honor! Maybe the First Lady will order my cookies for Sasha or Melia’s birthday?

What do you wish you could do differently with your business?
Since our Web site is our main connection with the customer, we want the experience of shopping on our Web site to be fun, easy and stress-free. We’re always looking for ways to improve and expand our current Web site.

Where do you see your business in 5 years? 10 years?
I would like my business to grow significantly from a creative perspective. In 2009, we already have more than twenty new designs that we’ll be adding to our current designs. I’m also hoping to start working with kid and gift stores (to carry our products).

What would you want customers to know about your product?
We have something for everyone. We have baked goods from our gumdrop bake shop for mom, dad, friends and co-workers. Custom cookies and couture favors for bride’s and showers. Finally, our line of van Gogh gumdrops are perfect for kids – they are a activity and favor in one. All of our gifts can be customized which always adds that something special to any thoughtful gift.

Thank you so much for sharing Thea! Oh my goodness, don't even get me started on how cute the van Gogh gumdrops would be at the kid's table at your reception!!! And how fun would these be for a business to hand out to customers??
If you are interested in more information about our new offering, or wish to place an order for your very own monogrammed cookies, visit our website and click on weddings & events. Then click on monogrammed goods!
And on to the contest.....
In honor of this sweet addition to our product offering, we are giving away ONE DOZEN monogrammed cookies! You select the monogram, you select the colors and voila~you're very own monogrammed cookie favors! This is the perfect way to test drive this awesome new product!
To enter: Comment on this post and tell us which of our standard monograms you would choose (go to our site, click on the galleries link and then click on standard monograms) and then tell us what colors (please select at least 2) you would choose!
You must respond to this post by Friday, the 28th of February, at midnight. The winner will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday morning!

Oh wow, there were way too many options, so hard to pick a favorite! I love 78D, the design would work well for an Indian wedding. The colors it's in are beautiful, but I think I would pick a combo of rouge and plum to make it more modern!

My email is my username at yahoo.com!

What a fun giveaway and a great product.

I'm giving a baby shower and these would be great! I would like 18D with the new babies initials and since the colors are going to be robin's egg blue and chocolate those would be the colors.

I'm sure most people would think of getting these for a wedding but I can think of lots of my parties that would make great use of these.

Hugs,
Joanne

oh my oh my! there are SO many fabulous ones to choose from!! It literally took me 45min to pick. I think 27b in lime and chocolate would best suit our outdoor southern wedding. It combines exactly what we are going for: nature, southern elegance, and a little bit of modern flare thrown in! Really though...the monograms are wonderful!

60C in sage and silver!! They all are amazing though!

It was hard to narrow it down, there are so many great ones! I liked 17C since we live in New York, and 44D, since we are the perfect pair, but I have to go with 24A. My boyfriend is a variety performer (clown) and that image is perfectly whimsical for us (I am in advertising). The colors that I think would look great are shrimp for the penny-farthing, and navy for our names. Thanks!

How cute!

My fiance and I are both changing our names. He wanted to have a spanish last name to reflect his heritage, so we translated my last name into spanish to create our new names. And monogram cookies would be just the way to celebrate!

Design 43A reflects the dotted circle motif we have going on-- especially in our colors-- apple and butter!
