Figs Galore

I'm almost embarrased to admit this, but it took me 32 years to try an actual fig. Truth be told, I had never even seen a fig in real life until the beginning of this month. I was intrigued by the colors of figs...the outsides are so dark a moody looking and then the inside is this little nested gem of color.

The other day, I happened across Sweet Paul and behold, an entire stream of photos related to figs! The inspiration for this board certainly comes from the photo at the top left from the Sweet Paul blog.

I picture this wedding to use really moody browns and taupes with pops of warm peaches, terra cottas, golds and greens. Figs could easily be served as warm appetizers topped with goat cheese and wrapped in pruscuitto...YUM! And maybe serve up some candied figs for an after dinner sweet!Image credits {Top row: Sweet Paul, theknot.com, Country Living}{Second row: Saipua, Holly Stalder, Jen Huang Photography, theknot.com}{Third row: Daisy Chain, Mel Barlow via Snippet & Ink, Ariella Chezar}
