Khaki is such a soft soothing color. Unlike brown its not quite so harsh. Not only is it perfect for an outdoor garden wedding but its completely suitable for a seaside gathering or a backyard shindig. I love the challenge of finding colors to pair along side khaki. Its so versatile that I can’t possibly list all of the combinations that really work so I’ll narrow it down to a few.
Khaki and Watermelon: This kicky color combination just screams tropical getaway to me. Pair it with some bright orange parrot tulips or even some lime green cymbidium orchids and you just can’t go wrong.
Khaki and Tangelo: This color palette could certainly swing toward the tropical side but it would be perfectly suitable for an early fall wedding as well. This color combination is still warm in tone so it really works for a number of seasons.
Khaki and Purple: Envision this color palette paired with some beautiful linen fabrics and variations of any shade of purple. Its quite striking with a plum or a dusty purple.
Khaki and Blue: Not just any blue…but a rich dusty blue, the color of dusk. This palette is on the verge of preppy without it being too obvious. But pair it with some beautiful damask inspired fabrics and it almost becomes regal.
