According to Grace Ormond’s Wedding Style website , the top locations for a destination wedding are: Cap Juluca in the British West Indies, the Ritz-Carlton in the Caymen Islands, the One & Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas, Palazzo Sasso in Italy, the Mandarin Oriental in Miami and Down Under Endeavors in Fiji. Let’s take a look at some of the details of these locations and see how you can apply it to your event.
All of these locations are stunning in their own right and each offers something unique. You can truly take something from each location and turn it into a “theme” for your day. It could be something as small as the colors of the beach in Cap Juluca or a romantic Baroque feel present in the Palazzo in Italy. Or perhaps you deck out your backyard wedding with white umbrella-ed tables with delicate lanterns dangling from the underside like those found at the Mandarin. Maybe a Polynesia feast is all it takes to make you feel like you are in Fiji. Maybe the architecture of any of these places speaks to you....that can be your "theme".
Inspiration can be found anywhere and it doesn’t have to be literal. You don’t even have to travel far to find it….go to your local travel agent for brochures, visit websites or look at old photos from your favorite family vacation…You can have your very own destination wedding locally!
And just because we were so very inspired by the images of Cap Juluca, we’ve created a special invitation package that will be released soon. So here is a little teaser….and that’s all you get for now!
